Art Historian, Marsha Perry Mateyka opened the Marsha Mateyka Gallery in 1983 in the historic Dupont Circle neighborhood around the corner from the Phillips Collection. For over thirty-five years the gallery has shown painting, sculpture, photography and works on paper by established artists such as Jae Ko, Jim Sanborn, Atena Tacha, Aline Feldman, William T. Wiley, Gene Davis and Nathan Oliveira.

Over the years Mateyka has published numerous catalogues, installed retrospective exhibitions and introduced emerging artists. Her clients include major museums, corporate collections and private collectors nationwide. She represents the estates of Gene Davis and Nathan Oliveira.
Today most of the gallery business is conducted over the internet through her website. The gallery is open each week on Thursday from 11am – 5pm and by appointment.
