Caroll Gellner Levin is an artist with the heart of a social worker and she wants her work to tell a meaningful story. She says, exceptional art communicates an idea, emotion, or experience in a unique way and the viewer may respond by feeling a personal connection with a piece. That is my goal.

I created "Black Sheep" as a challenge to myself to use unattractive, refuse materials in a new way. My hope was to create something unique and intriguing from materials that are normally discarded. In this piece, packing peanuts serve as sheep’s wool.
