Nancy McIntyre
Area artist Nancy McIntyre, long ago mastered the art of silk screen printing. She not only pulls up to 156 colors in her images, but she developed the method of using water-base inks as opposed to oil-based inks, thus making silk screens a healthful way of working.

Elizabeth Peak is a long time area artist who studied printmaking at Yale with Gabor Peterdi and later Michael Mazur. Jennie Lea Knight 1933 - 2007
Jennie Lea Knight, sculptor was known for her relationship with nature; worked her farm and cared for an incredible diversity of animals that needed to be rescued. All this found its way into her work. Jennie is also the founder of Studio Gallery, now celebrating its 50th year, with an exhibition of Knight's work.

Nina Muys
Born in Austria, Nina Muys immigrated to Bethesda, MD in 1961. Her principle form of expressions is intaglio but because this required toxic inks she invented a method of printing using acrylics and carborundum to create her prints.

Gene Davis 1920 - 1985
A major figure in 20th-century American painting and known as a member of the Washington Color School, Gene Davis also created a body of work in silk screen printing. He, Sam Gilliam and Lou Stovall are a part of this group.
