Don Kimes
Internationally known Washington DC artist Don Kimes is a teacher, innovator, humanist and fighter in the face of adversity. At age fifty his studio and all his work was destroyed in a flood. He recovered and "found a new way to express the qualities that have been intrinsic in painting throughout history.." (Barbara Rose).

Clifford Wheeler
Here is an artist who has been working for over 40 years in Washington. He is literally an everyman, extremely intelligent, gregarious, knows all the area artists, builder, designer, gallerist, collector, but first and foremost a photographer since age 16. He recently drove across the country finding some of the most gloriously beautiful places on earth and with his keen eye and photographed them.

Mimi Herbert
JoAnn Lewis aptly described Herbert's work in the Washington Post. "In Mimi Herbert's sculpture the plastic sheet is the module of each work. It is heated and then pulled folded, twisted or rolled into shape. "...with this uncomplicated system, Herbert has managed to transform what we know to be a cold, hard substance into something soft, sensuous, visually satisfying, and absolutely irresistible to the touch."

Robin Rose
A Washington institution and musician, Robin Rose is known for his "search in painting to create what I see that isn't there, but could be." His work is primarily done with encaustic, which is a mixture of pigment and wax that allows for a lush and inviting surface which in his case glows with intense color and energy.
