The Glass Gallery, founded in 1981, presents contemporary glass used as an art medium. Since Sally Hansen, Director, had already handled Studio Glass, starting in 1972, she has depth of knowledge and experience in this exciting field. She is a member of The Art Dealers Association of Greater Washington.

Today, The Glass Gallery offers work in a wide variety of styles and techniques. Inventory includes sculpture, wall panels, multi-media pieces and vessels serving as vehicles for etched or painted imagery. Although artists with established reputations predominate, significant work by emerging talents is also featured. In fact, many younger artists whose careers were first launched at the Glass Gallery have since become stars of the glass movement.

Selection is international, with work from the USA, Canada, Australia, and Japan, as well as Germany and Italy.
