about the artist

Wiley felt constricted by the formalist ideas of his time. He created his own imagery and it is immediately recognizable. His work is distinctly his own and an experience in discovering new allusions and meanings. It is narrative and humorous as well as irrelevant. He covers politics, torture, human waste, nuclear waste and global warming.
