This is the last self-portrait I did on stone. It is one of my favorite lithographs. RS
about the artist
Soyer was one of three boys in his family that were artists, Moses, his twin brother, and Isaac. They worked in New York and much of their work was similar. Raphael was interested in men and women viewed in contemporary settings which included the streets, subways, salons and artists' studios of New York City.
