Artline's auction is designed to aid and encourage a new generation of knowledgeable and
enthusiastic collectors. Further, the auction provides visibility and an income for some
of our finest mid-career and emerging artists.
Years ago Associated American Artists, a New York gallery, offered new editions of prints
to collectors at very reasonable prices. So reasonable, if fact, that some purchased each
and every item that was offered. Today those collector's homes are filled with original
prints by Thomas Hart Benton, Grant Wood, and many other major artists. Over the years
other galleries, organizations and institutions also offered this same service. Now,
artlineŽ offers this excellent opportunity to build such a collection for the first time
via the Internet. We begin by auctioning prints and will gradually move to works in all
media. To insure top quality for each and every piece offered only the dealers on artlineŽ
will supply the art.
As each artist's work is presented every effort will be made to provide potential collectors
with as much information as possible about the artist's development, direction, acceptance,
professionalism, endurance, and memorability. It is our goal that every participant will be
delighted with new discoveries and a chance to build an exciting collection.
