Angela Flowers Gallery opened in Soho in 1970 with the avowed aims of introducing young contemporary British artists and promoting established artists whose excellence deserved greater recognition. In 1988 the gallery moved to Hackney, in London's East End, and became Flowers East. At this time the company acquired Plc status and is recognized as one of the biggest and most important commercial galleries in the country. In February 1998 Flowers West opened in Santa Monica, California, and in October 2000 Flowers Central opened in Cork Street. In September 2002, the Flowers East moved again to Shoreditch, to an architect designed space of 12,000 square feet in the heart of London's fast developing arts center in Hoxton.

Flowers East represents more than thirty-five artists, from newcomers to major international figures. Flowers Graphics, situated on the first floor of Flowers East, publishes and sells prints by these artists. Some of artists represented by Flowers Graphics include Stephen Chambers, Prunella Clough, Lucy Jones, Peter Howson, Patrick Hughes, John Kirby, John McLean, Eduardo Paolozzi, Carol Robertson, Tai-Shan Schierenberg, Richard Smith and Trevor Sutton.
